The long-term effects of medical trauma can cause an unexpected impact on our lives. Whether an illness is acute or chronic, hospitalizations can take a significant toll on our mental and emotional health. Families often receive a high level of support and plenty of resources to help with recovery when someone is in medical care. Yet upon returning home, they find that they are on their own to face the long-term challenges of coping with an illness, including newfound fear, stress, sadness, or anxiety. In the wake of these coping challenges, it can be difficult to know where to turn for continued support.

Whether you or a family member are struggling with life after a hospitalization, Jennifer is here to help. She is passionate about helping families and individuals process all of the emotions that stem from medical trauma, and she is equipped to provide effective coping strategies that will help you work toward healing. She has extensive experience with families who are navigating life with chronic illnesses, such as cancer, autoimmune disease, neurological disorders, and diabetes, as well as those who have experienced acute medical issues, like surgeries or broken bones. She believes that, whether an illness is temporary or lifelong, everyone deserves the best care and support throughout their healing process.

Jennifer is currently available for individual, parent, and family sessions, so if you are looking to take the next step, please reach out to us, and we will be happy to help.

At our family-focused practice, we understand that raising a child is a rewarding but sometimes challenging experience. That's why we are excited to announce our new parent support services. We have a new parent support group that will provide a safe space for parents to come together, share experiences, and find helpful resources. You'll have the chance to connect with other parents who are facing similar challenges and gain valuable insights into how to support your children's growth.

In addition to our support group, we also have immediate openings for Parent Support, with a focus on neurodiversity, ADHD, anxiety, and navigating the dynamics of a neurodivergent family. Our experienced team of professionals is dedicated to helping parents navigate the unique challenges that come with parenting a neurodivergent child. We know that every child has potential and promise, and we are here to help you put a plan in place to support your child's growth and development.

Parent Support Group

You deserve some space to breathe, and we want this group to be a place of respite for you. A place where people understand what it's like to be in your shoes. A place where you can share the difficult experiences that come with parenting, and feel confident that you can overcome them.

Parenting can be hard. We want to help.
